Resumen
Fires constitute one of the most frequent and important disturbances suffered by forest ecosystems; on a global scale they are an important source of carbon emissions, contributing to global warming, which could modify biodiversity in ecosystems (Nasi et al. al., 2002). These events not only generate changes in the surface vegetation but also in the physical-chemical properties of the soil, in the associated microfauna, geomorphology and the ecosystem services it provides, which is why it is necessary to design strategies for monitoring the affected areas. by fires which allow evaluating the success of the restoration processes, which is why the following document proposes, through the Driving Force – Pressure – State – Impact – Response [FMPEIR] model, to define indicators for the follow-up and monitoring for restoration projects in areas degraded by forest fires in Bogotá. Based on the bibliographic review of articles from databases such as Scopus, Science, Scielo that talk about restoration monitoring indicators in burned areas. On the other hand, fire records were compiled from 2010 to 2022 reported by the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management [UNGRD] with which a timeline was prepared to identify historical milestones that allow defining the driving forces of the model. Finally, the information collected is summarized in a field manual where follow-up and monitoring indicators are presented as a tool to evaluate restoration processes in areas degraded by forest fires in Bogotá.
