Resumen
The following degree work was made with the purpose of initiating an electronic control board in order to guarantee that the water treatment system used by the Yanbal Company in Colombia S.A. in their jewel production plant meets with special specifications and characterisations such as conductivity superior or equal to 5 micro siemens and a pH between 6 and 8. Considering that the system in use was manually activated, it sometimes prevented the processed water to reach the established parameters for its use in the required industrial processes. It was indeed necessary to use more water than estimated in order to reach the production, which increased the amount of time and treatment costs. That is the reason why the previous system was changed to a new one which controls the good operation of said system through an electronic board using a PLC and the visualisation of the process images in the HMI (Human-Machine Interface). This new system optimised the water collection with the specifications and characteristics required for its use in the jewel production of the company, reducing time and costs at the same time and creating an automation vanguard in the cosmetics industry.
