Resumen
The footwear sector shows a decreasing behavior compared to the import market, which has superior competitive characteristics. Among these are the low integration with information technologies and new market analysis tools. One of the areas where this integration can be implemented is production management. An investigation of the business problem was carried out in order to provide a tool to guide companies in the footwear sector in the implementation of new technological tools and their integration with production management. This allowed us to provide alternatives for forecasting demand according to the characteristics of each product. Likewise, to provide inputs with more precision to the other steps for the consolidation of production management. For data analysis, the methodologies knowledge discovery in databases (KDD) and cross industry standard process for data mining (CRISP-DM) will be used as a basis. This leads us to structure the proposal on the basis of data analysis applied to the case study and analyze the results of this tool.
