Resumen
Within the student community there are people who seek to express their emotions through artistic, sporting and cultural resources. At the time of expressing their ideas or thoughts, they do not always find the right tools to do so, also people who do not feel entirely comfortable with this type of “traditional” methods, this in turn generates a mental health problem. Satisfying these needs should be a fundamental priority for the university, which should guarantee and promote spaces to strengthen the body and mind. The Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, Bosa Porvenir campus, as an entity that teaches knowledge, values of integrity and respect, seeks to initiate a project with the capacity to generate a positive social impact on the student community, with a projection to expand the event to other campuses and in the future to other universities in the country. In the course of time it is intended to impact the surrounding community (this is social and internal projection), using this event as a fundamental tool to generate welfare in society, instilling the development of new ideas and thoughts in people. The project aims to start the first University League of Freestyle Rap at the Universidad Distrital Bosa, this derivative of hip hop consists of two or more opponents facing each other in a battle of improvised rhymes where there will be judges to determine the winner, formats that ensure the authenticity of improvisation, rules that promote fair play without any physical aggression and determined times for the optimal development of the same. This League aims to motivate the university community to be part of each event, in turn find the desired impact and achieve channel in each participant the expression of their thoughts in a healthy and sporting way. Freestyle Rap, over the past few years has been showing a growth in its impact on the Spanish-speaking society, especially in Colombia, which increasingly new talents are found and new champions emerge. Colombia is one of the countries that can become a power in Freestyle Rap, which is why this event seeks to start a league where new talents emerge and in turn generate a transformative and integral positive social impact in order to improve mental health in its participants.
