Resumen
The cannabis plant has been cultivated and used since the dawn of humanity, mainly used as natural fiber for the creation of ropes, tissues and paper, but it was also used as food, hallucinogen and finally as medicine. In Colombia, the cultivation of cannabis has become an emerging industry, which seeks to satisfy the global demand for medicinal cannabis, this trend arises from decree 2467 of December 2015 which allows safe and informed access to the use of cannabis for medical use. and scientifically, which is believed, will become a multi-billion-dollar industry that would bring great benefits and that the nation could become the largest supplier in the entire globe. The objective of this study is to design the business plan of Medicaltropics S.A.S and to know the viability of its constitution for the cultivation and manufacture of medicinal products derived from non-psychoactive cannabis; with which people who are looking for an alternative or complementary treatment to traditional ones can be treated. The target market segment is people with chronic pain, who see alternative medicine as a much more effective and natural relief for their ailments, thus improving their quality of life. To achieve the proposed objective, the project has a land located in the department of Boyacá, which has the environmental, urban and technical characteristics to start a cannabis cultivation as a small farmer. During the preparation of the business plan and the feasibility study carried out, the viability of the project could be observed in all the different aspects such as the legal field, economic profitability, technical requirements, and market needs, highlighting the country's environmental characteristics. However, the national government's commitment to promote this industry, foreign financial support for cannabis-based production projects, and high demand for products abroad, however, have barriers to capital entry and allocation of planting quotas. This project presents a great productive, economic and social opportunity, since it promotes the use of the Colombian countryside, the national industry, job creation and development in conjunction with the entire area surrounding the project.
