Resumen
The funeral services company LA ASCENSIÓN has a Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan for its administrative headquarters, but needs to implement a Comprehensive Management Plan for Waste generated in Health Care and other activities (PGIRASA) in its Tanatopraxia laboratories. This includes a basic sanitation plan to ensure a contamination-free environment at funeral homes. To develop the PGIRASA, the waste generated in the laboratories was identified, which includes biosanitary, anatomopathological, sharps and chemical waste. The regulatory investigation indicates that Resolution 1164 of 2002 is applicable, since it regulates the management of hospital and similar waste, defining concepts and procedures for the segregation of waste according to color codes. The Basic Sanitation Plan establishes cleaning and maintenance activities to guarantee a healthy environment, complying with the National Health Code (Law 9 of 1979) and other regulations. It includes programs on cleaning, solid waste management, pest control and drinking water supply, with internal control formats based on Colombian Technical Standard 580 and guidelines from health entities.
