This paper is about the Internship Research developed under the research project "Hegemony and alternatives in education policies for children in Colombia: Subjects, discourses and practices, 1982 - 2015", about the childhood Groups from the Distral University. It shows an analysis of education reforms, policies for children, the curriculum guidelines and educational guidelines, which have been oriented in preschool and early childhood education in Colombia, in the period between 1994 and 2015. The research carried out is qualitative historical and documentary; It is made from the review of the discursive production of educational policy and child policy, pedagogy and curriculum proposals undertaken in each period. It was investigated to clarify the meanings and senses of the hegemonic and alternative which are in the different proposals for political and educational reforms, and this was the contribution that was made to the proposed objective which was in the framework of the research: To examine and investigate what say guidelines, curriculum, standards and policy documents that have been produced for initial and preschool education between 1994 and 2015.
