YouTube como ecosistema comunicativo. ¿Una oportunidad para la cultura política?

Abstract

This research intends to make a first approach to one of the communication phenomena that have been presented with the widespread of the internet - the YOUTUBERS - the new forms of cultural consumption through the new massive television called: Youtube, the elements that take into account people who produce content, the effects that can be generated for those who produce them for the platform and its usefulness in higher education and the training of teachers. Consequently, this research consists of doing an exploratory work on YouTubers, analyzing how this platform - tool - can contribute to the political formation of critical subjects, based on concepts of cybercitizen, being young today, the new ecology of media, the info entertainment, multimodality, and liquid society. This led me to convene a group of students from UPN University and invite them to reflect on this way of putting their voice to circulate in the agora of the Internet, its effects and the use that can be given as a pedagogical tool in the university context and in the practical life of future teachers. The previous information, gave me the way to have some findings that emphasize on formation in political culture, from the discourses presented in Youtube which go through elements such as irony, parody and performance; additionally, it is necessary and urgent to have digital literacy for the development of automorphosis processes from contact with the digital world. In conclusion, the new discourses that are presented from the widespread of the Internet and the new media ecology, allow the opportunity to reflect on how content is addressed in the mass media and how it can be transformed into an opportunity to put to circulate the voice of those excluded from the social agora, breaking with that old discourse of the traditional system bringing with it the possibility to express oneself in the virtual world.
