Desarrollo de un prototipo de software móvil para implementar un taxímetro enfocado al control del servicio

Abstract

An important factor for the growth of any city is mobility, since it is essential for citizens and inhabitants to reduce displacement; This is why the use of taxis, as a public service, has been increased in recent years. With 42.3% [1] the population of Bogotá states prefer this service to move to your work, study site or place of housing, given the comfort, speed and door-to-door service it offers. As demand for this service has increased, increased the nonconforming users with the collection of the tariff by the taxi drivers [2]. This has generated bickering, mistrust and distress in users, seeing risk the decrease in the demand of the service. Given this situation it is proposed the development of a mobile application for telephones with Android operating system, which controls and verifies the units that marks the route carried out by the taxi in which a user is transported, calculating the rate to be paid according to current regulations, established by the Secretariat of Mobility of Bogotá as regulatory body. In addition, the application will generate a report in social networks as a mechanism of social control in case of irregularities in the dialing of the taximeter or in the collection of the tariff.
