SIG-Funza Visor Geográfico Web del Marco del Plan Básico de Ordenamiento Territorial del Municipio de Funza (Cundinamarca)

Abstract

The municipality of Funza (Cundinamarca - Colombia) has focused on the formulation of its Basic Plan for Territorial Ordering - PBOT, regulated by Decree No. 140 of 2000, to implement strategies that make Funza a regional hub supported by four main policies. The Municipality of Funza carried out the survey of geographic information in order to have efficient instruments that would cooperate in the application of such policies, such as the creation of maps, carrying out information analysis and building scenarios, however due to the nature of the information, Is available in files specialized in vector format, which require specific software and previous knowledge on the management of geographical data. The development of projects of this nature focuses on providing Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) tools that expand the channel of communication between citizens and government, for the specific case it is about the work carried out by the Mayor of Funza.
