Resumen
This degree work consisted of develop, apply and evaluate an alternative way for teaching entropy based on Vygotsky's social constructivism in students of Degree in Chemistry from the Distrital University Francisco José de Caldas in the course of Physical Chemistry II; for which it was necessary the development and implementation of data collection instruments (Previous ideas Test) and guided experimental problems, taking into account the socio interactionist approach. Allowing teachers to rethink their teaching practices, changing his professorship, in order to contextualize significantly the students; thus forming people with critical and creative thinking that contribute to the development of the society, which is favored by this learning alternative (A. Chaves 2001). Using guided reading students were able to potentiate skills as explain, communicate, investigate and infer; which it was evidenced by the argument, analysis and communication shown during the debate made. As for the experimental problems it was possible to demonstrate the application of entropy in simple activities and common in daily life; which it was reflected in the constructions written in question 5 of the exam. Taking into account the results of the previous ideas instrument and contrasting it with the results of the exam and the percentage of school dropouts, it can find a 9% decrease in partial loss and 27% in dropout; so it is possible to ensure that the application of this teaching and learning model facilitated the apprehension of the entropy concept.
