Resumen
In the present research work it was proposed to investigate and analyze the social representations of the cultural heritage that the young people of secondary education of the I.E.D Miguel Samper Agudelo have, who are performing their social service with the Vigías of the heritage of the municipality of Guaduas from the processual approach of the theory, that is, focusing the analysis on the socio-cultural processes in which the representations originate and on the way in which these representations have configured both individual and collective practices that affect the formation of their cultural identity. To this end, social representations were investigated in a group of 15 students and the analysis was made from an interpretative approach that sought to understand the configuration of social representation and its impact on the formation of cultural identity, through the characterization of each of the fields that make up the representations, taking into account the approaches of Moscovici (1979). It was possible to determine the school as the space in which the interest in knowing and reflecting on the cultural heritage is promoted, based on the conservation of its traditions, which are closely linked to religion and the exaltation of values, principles, and characters related mainly to the process of independence; the processes of objectification and anchoring, show that after integrating social representations about cultural heritage into the system of thought, a consensus is generated in the language that guides behaviors and social relations, that influence how young people participate in activities aimed at the preservation and conservation of cultural heritage, generating ties that demonstrate the importance of the role of cultural heritage as a reference of identity and/or cultural differentiation, both of the municipality, and for each of the young people.
