Resumen
The objective of this investigation is to design, validate and implement a series of contextualized concept cartoons related to the topic of biological evolution, content of central importance for secondary school and generally difficult to understand and low motivation for ninth grade students. There are multiple characteristics that define the cartoon, such as its relationship with the iconic and textual language, which allows the student to develop various skills. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the main parameters in the design of contextualized concept cartoons and in this way facilitate the process of teaching biological evolution in students in the last grade of basic secondary school. Finally, through a methodological approach to research and under the assumptions of teaching for understanding, a series of conceptual comics contextualized with their respective activities for the teaching of biological evolution was generated, which contributes significantly to the teaching-learning processes and to the student motivation.
