Resumen
The thesis “Descriptive analysis of two methods for flute: the Complete Method of Taffanel - Gaubert and the Illustrated Method for flute by Celso Woltzenloge,” is the product of reflection on the pedagogy of the flute. The work is based on the set of experiences and learning that I have had throughout my career, from my years as a student, to my work as a professional musician and as a teacher of the transverse flute. This monograph describes the contents of two methods used for the training of flutists: on the one hand the Complete Method of Taffanel-Gaubert, a classic in the universal pedagogy of the flute, and on the other, the Illustrated Flute Method of the Brazilian flute player Celso Woltzenlogel. The approach to the latter examines the work as a contribution from the Brazilian musical tradition for the elaboration of its pedagogical approach. The thesis provides a contrasting look at the proposals of each of the methods and places them in perspective based on a broad literature comparison in the case of Taffanel-Gaubert and the experience of a direct encounter with the teacher Woltzenlogel in addition to a revision of his Illustrated Method.
