Resumen
The environmental study for the project was made by means of the solidification of the environmental basis line, and abiotic and biotic components were taken into account as well as the characterization of socio-economic issues in the town and the cundiboyacense región. This information allowed to determine the environment conditions of the place where the research is developed. In the same way, an environmental impact matrix was elaborated in order to identify and assess the natural resources impacts derived from the planning, construction, and operation stages. In order to elaborate the environmental impact matrix, the Vicente Conesa methodology was used, modified by forest engineer – M.S. G.A. Miguel Ángel Gamboa Castellanos. In the environmental impact matrix, the most meaningful environment effects and impacts were identified; and based on these, environmental management programs were opened with the purpose of providing to Villapinzón town hall a tool for the relief of environmental impact produced in the planning and construction stages and the possible impacts in the operation stage of the research; foreseeing the environmental problems and preventing their appearance, so that it may help to increase the environmental efficiency.
