These proceedings compile the contributions from the virtual panel series “Forest Policy and Forest Governance in Colombia,” organized in 2020 by the Forestry Engineering Program at the Francisco José de Caldas District University. More than forty national and international experts discussed six strategic areas: deforestation, forest management and utilization, public forest administration, the participation and influence of forestry stakeholders, economic incentives and financial instruments, and forestry research, technology, and information. The content reflects a wide diversity of institutional, technical, and territorial approaches, with representation from more than thirty entities and a large national and international audience. This collective effort provides key insights and proposals for updating public policy and improving forest management.
