Predatory journals are those that charge authors for the publication of their articles, without providing the editorial services and quality procedures that constitute the main hallmarks of scientific publications.
There is no single checklist to determine if a publisher or magazine is predatory. However, serious publishers and magazines share some common characteristics, some of which are shown in this document.
