The document covers the collection of the inventory of public spaces focused on research, the proposal of a methodology for the determination of zones of influence of each EPE, the calculation of each of the proposed indicators, analysis of information collected through surveys, made to the population, and forms of each of the identified spaces, a series of proposals, guidelines and/or recommendations that facilitate the actions of the local administration and, finally, the conclusions of this project.Ítem Censo del arbolado y zonas verdes ubicadas en el casco urbano del municipio de Guatavita, CundinamarcaForero Castañeda, Julieth Camila; López Botía, FabioUrban trees and green areas in cities and municipalities provide a great benefit by fulfilling functions such as landscape beauty, physical well-being, creating recreational or rest spaces for human beings. As well as the protection of bodies of water, soil and fauna, climate regulation, carbon dioxide capture, temperature control, visual barriers, wind, solar radiation and noise. As a cause of these factors, its care, maintenance and improvement is a concern for the Municipal Government of Guatavita due to its great tourist demand and its commitment to the environment. Among the programs that are managed for this contribution, is the Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan (PGIRS) where control of pruning and urban forestry of all trees and green areas in the urban area of the municipality is contemplated. Therefore, the purpose of this internship was to carry out a census of all the trees found in the urban area, identifying the name of the species or genus, family, conservation status, location, coordinates, physical and phytosanitary status, concept technical and dasometric parameters of DBH, CAP, height and type of tree with respect to it, as well as photographs of each individual, both general and in detail. For the green areas, the measurement was made in square meters and a plan that identifies and gives a clear idea of the location and shape of these places, in the same way the corresponding photographs were made. As additional results obtained to this document, there is a conglomerate of PDF files and an Excel to deliver to the municipality with each tree and green area with their respective photographs, as well as the numerical marking of each tree individual for identification in case of pruning, felling or treatment, by means of a plate - painting, all this in order to have an information base for a possible elaboration of management plans and management of the trees and not only as an aggregate of the PGIRS, allowing an improvement of the same and a support so that the species considered for planting and enriching the landscape of the municipality of Guatavita are increasingly more suitable.
