Ítem Incidencia de la realidad aumentada en procesos de comprensión lectora del inglés como lengua extranjeraCabrera Obando, Marisol; Tamayo Ibañez, Jeison; Ramírez Pardo, PiedadThis degree work investigates the incidence of Augmented Reality (AR) in the English reading comprehension of eighteen students belonging to the class Emphasis in English (tenth and eleventh graders) of Inmaculado Corazón de María School, located in Bogota. For this purpose -following research based on design as a methodology-, the process of design, implementation and evaluation of a proposal integrated by a didactic unit and multimedia material recreated with AR technology (Augmented Reading booklet) is presented. The analysis of the results determined that the Augmented Reading didactic unit had a positive impact on the students' comprehension. This was evidenced by comparing the results of the diagnostic test and the reading tests carried out in the implementation sessions, which registered an improvement percentage of 22.67%. Among the reasons that explain this percentage of improvement is the use of reading strategies, which were addressed through the implementation of markers with AR and activities under the Task Based Language Learning methodology (Ellis 2003): before, during and after reading. In turn, it was possible to determine that the increase in lexical comprehension and the relationships established by students with their previous knowledge had a fundamental impact on reading comprehension at the literal and inferential levels. On the other hand, the didactic, technological, and cognitive references managed to be effectively integrated through the didactic unit, which was developed under the principles of the TPACK model or Technological, Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (Mishra and Koehler 2006-2009) and Mayer's multimedia learning theory (2001).
