Ítem Análisis de la deserción universitaria en instituciones de la RED RIESC mediante metodología de minería de datos CRISP-DMMartínez, Sharidt Stefania; López, Daniela Fernanda; Calderon, Maria EugeniaThe purpose of this project is to analyze the University Dropout in the countries of the member institutions of the RED RIESC, through the implementation of the CRISP-DM data mining methodology to identify the factors that influence the decision of a student to drop out. This was done by identifying the factors that influence a student's decision to drop out, followed by the consultation of available data sources that include information about university dropout and ending with the analysis of the variables identified as having the greatest influence. The intention of the study, it is to generate recommendations using the information of the students of the academic periods from 2009 to 2014, in order to recognize and to evaluate the factors that are associated with the permanency and students' retention in the PCLB.
