Ítem Evaluación del uso sustentable del recurso hídrico en dos unidades de producción agrícola rural convencional y ecológica: caso vereda la Requilina-UsmeHernández Romero, Liliana; Espinosa García, HelmutThe objective in this research work, it was approach to evaluate the sustainable use of water resources, from the Integral Management of Water Resources (in Spanish, GIRH) approach, articulated at the national level, thanks to the National Policy for the Integrated Management of Water Resources (in Spanish, PNGIRH). Based on an exploratory methodological proposal, when there is little data available; taking as a reference two systems production antagonist of rural agricultural, conventional and ecological in the village la Requilina, Usme town. It was proposed a model, through the combination and adaptation of widely recognized methodologies, such as the Water Footprint (in spanish, HH), the Framework for the Evaluation of Natural Resources Management Systems Incorporating Sustainability Indicators (in spanish MESMIS) and finally sustainability indicators. During the adaptation process, qualitative and quantitative data processing was carried out, which managed to be standardized thanks to the proposal. The analysis of the indicator system include two categories, one of functional type that corresponds to four indicators: indicator of supply (IO), indicator of demand (ID), indicator of quality (ICA) and indicator of risk (IR), and the other one political and institutional that includes two indicators: indicator of institutional strength (IFI) and indicator of governance (IG). As a result a high performance for the functional category in the ecological system conventional, for all indicators (IO, ID, ICA, IR); for these same indicators for the conventional system, presented a varied performance, high performance for the IO, low performance for the ID, for the ICA IR critical performance, therefore, does not favor the indicator system; the performance of this category (except the IO), depend essentially on the decision making of the producer. On the other hand, for the political and institutional category that corresponds to IFI and the IG, for the two production systems, there is a low performance, which essentially depends on the local environmental authority.
