Ítem Caracterización de los repositorios digitales de las universidades en Colombia como apoyo al proceso de construcción de la base de datos para el Proyecto EARTE-ALYCCastro Camelo, Cindy Marcela; Naranjo Torres, Yeison Fernando; Sandoval Bettin, Javier Hernando; Zamudio Rodríguez, CarmenA characterization of the repositories of the universities in Colombia was carried out to support the generation of the database for the Earte-ALyC project. To approach the content of this research, we started from the following categories: 1. Accessibility to information, 2. University repositories, their current status and quality, and 3. Information on environmental education as a mechanism for communication and information on environmental education in Colombia. Different criteria were defined to analyze important aspects of the repositories, such as: accessibility of the information, whether it is complete or partial, public or private, digital, age or possible year of creation, current status of the repositories, among others, which allowed us to identify their characteristics and thus provide a tool for future researchers and the general public, to know the quality and status of the repositories, as well as to facilitate access to research in environmental education generated by graduate students of universities in Colombia. The present work is based on the need to access environmental education research carried out by master's and doctoral students of universities in Colombia, since the EArte-ALyC project seeks to have a compilation of all environmental education research in Latin America, and when trying to access these, the need to have a characterization of the repositories that would provide real information on their status was identified. The methodology used was descriptive by means of a qualitative process with the collection and analysis of data from the repositories of the universities in Colombia. Eighty-seven universities were identified in Colombia, including the public and private sector, of which 69 have digital repositories, in which the quality of their repositories was identified, according to some indicators used for their observation and where results of the characteristics of these systems of storage and dissemination of information were obtained.
