Ítem Diálogos autoetnográficos en torno al rol masculino en la danza clásica gestados en el proyecto curricular arte danzario de la Universidad Distrital FJDC.Cifuentes Lozano, Edward Javier; Cruz, Olga LuciaThis monograph intends to mention and answer autoethnographic questions about the male gender role in Bogotá’s classical dance within the curricular project “Arte Danzario”, where the dancing body is crossed by personal experiences. The dance as stage technique allows us to present and represent both our own places and imaginary places, finding there that the methodology and technique are important when interpreting. The male role in classical dance has gone through changes that give rise to the different masculinities, leading the male performers to find a place to develop their careers in classical dance, making today’s male dancers seek virility and majesty on the stage, no matter how different they are outside the classical dance. Mentioning the gender in the classical dance is, therefore, to talk about the social constructions about what is being a man and what is being a woman, finding that, without labeling anyone, dancers encounter where they want to name their speeches, concluding that the dance is an entity that builds society from the simplicity of understanding ourselves as different.
