El presente proyecto pedagógico surge como una alternativa que busca conocer y reconocer las culturas africanas, específicamente de la etnia Ashanti, en el país de Ghana en África occidental y su presencia en diversas partes del mundo, en este caso, su instauración en el departamento de San Andrés, Providencia y Santa Catalina - Colombia; conoceremos por medio de la literatura infantil, la tradición oral y su importancia en la formación de primeros infantes del jardín La Manuelita, contexto en el cual se realizan las prácticas con niños y niñas de 3 a 4 años, a través del cual se evidenciará el trabajo realizado, intentado desde la educación inicial romper con las barreras impuestas por el racismo estructural y la discriminación racial que existen y afectan a la infancia desde hace siglos por el eurocentrismo enmarcado hacia la cultura afro, e nuestro caso la cultura afrocolombiana.
Resumen
