Abstract

The field of education has been progressively empowered in the field of research and practice on the application of technologies and information with respect to teaching and learning. In particular the amount of information found on the internet, and open educational repositories, however such a large amount of information can hardly be studied in detail because of its different formats or types of organisation, this complexity can hinder the learner of a specific subject. The learning resource recommender system is a tool that uses techniques such as collaborative filtering to suggest personalised educational materials to students based on their preferences, needs and level of knowledge. The software can include web pages, videos, repositories or educational articles.
