Actualización y Análisis Estadístico, Físico y Político de la Carta Corográfica de la Ciudad de Medellín Elaborada por Agustín Codazzi en el Año 1852

Abstract

The development of this work Grade beginning with the purpose of generating digital information corográfica letter Medellin Province made in 1852 by General Agustin Codazzi and corográfica.El commission held a first step for the development of this project was obtaining the letter, which is in the General Archive of the Nation in the map room 6 with the number 16. After obtaining the map, the interpretation of each of the tables contained therein starts, which general aspects relate to the period, as the demographics of the province, also a census of agriculture, its main altitudes and high hills, a brief description of its characteristics, its major rivers and lakes, in addition to the political division of the same. Each of these tables are performed a statistical analysis comparing 1852 data with data on between 2005 and 2015 capital of Medellin and Antioquia. It followed the analysis proceeds to scan the original material with the help of ArcGIS software, resulting in the corográfica letter Medellin Province made in 1852 in digital and downloadable format.
