Ítem La educación musical:Un aporte a la empatía y la resolución de conflictos como habilidades sociales en el curso 1A del colegio Julio Garavito ArmeroRivera Alzate, Daniela Fernanda; Poveda Munevar, Eliana Alexandra; Beltrán Jiménez, HaroldThis research presents the process carried out with children of 5 and 6 years, with the aim of promoting empathy and conflict resolution as social skills in the first A course of the (I.E.D.) district educational institution Julio Garavito Armero. The proposal starts from the musical education and promotes the integral formation of the man, understanding him as boy/girl and woman/man. This has the intention of improving his way of relating to the other, conceiving him as an equal, learning to listen actively to understand him. The purpose is to promote assertive communication and empathy through factors such as expressiveness, dialogue, reflection and the construction of agreements, consensus and the search for alternative solutions. In addition, it promotes the resolution of conflicts based on teamwork to improve coexistence; using the choir as part of the strategies to achieve a harmony, not only musical but socially. This research deals mainly with postures such as Pilar Pascual's against music education, and Antonio Vallés and Consol Vallés's social skills at school. This is a qualitative research, framed under the Educational Action Research (IAE), from the perspective of Jhon Elliot, where participant observation was made; using instruments such as: field journals, questionnaires and interviews. This information was systematized and triangulated, yielding positive results; demonstrating improvement in the way children relate to their peers, practitioners and teachers, putting into practice empathy and conflict resolution as social skills in their daily lives.
