Resumen
When I was a girl, I used to play doll house. I invented houses for my toys, I gave them personalities and lives; today I am concerned that the algorithms financed by private companies are playing the same game with me, but in this case, I am one more toy of the method, rambling in a system that programs culture and identity, and participating in a telesociety orchestrated by the trend. Collecting these sensations, this project is a reflection on the contemporary subject located within social networks, it is a position between ingenuity and conspiracy. An analysis of the present prosecuted by the pandemic and a question about our future and that of our society. House of dolls is an effort of investigation and photographic self-portrait, to approach what is the codification of the subject and the structuring of tele-societies in the contemporary world; For this, starting from a comparison between social role-playing video games and social networks (from the specific cases of The Sims and Instagram), I approach the concepts of hyperreality and hyperbody, to find that both we and our context are being absorbed by the silent empire of the code.
