Recycling has become in recent years an important source of the national economy, since it contributes a large number of jobs both direct and Indirectly, primary recycling is the source of livelihood for many families who see in this trade the opportunity to get ahead and bring livelihoods to their homes. Ergonomics is the grouping of various knowledge focused on the study of products, systems and work environments, to satisfy the needs, limitations and characteristics of workers seeking to optimize the efficiency, safety and well-being in the work environment. In the development of this work activity, the repeated movements of the shoulders, arms, elbows and hands can be identified as biomechanical risk factors, to which the movements of turning and tilting of the neck and the forced postures and in the lower limbs are added. long-held postures are identified. They are also workers who must lift heavy loads and move with this additional weight. With the implementation of the occupational health and safety management system, an evaluation of the ergonomic conditions of workers engaged in recycling activities is necessary.
