Identificación de peligros, valoración de riesgos de seguridad y establecimiento de controles en la microempresa Rectificadora de Motores Facatativá

Abstract

Safety hazards represent the potential for sudden events resulting in immediate injury or death due to unsafe conditions in the work area. For example, hot surfaces, broken ladders, and slippery floors etc. The metalworking industry is one of the sectors where safety risks can be identified due to the nature of the activities carried out in this sector and the constant manipulation of machines, equipment and tools required to perform work in this sector. Due to this, the objective of this project is to identify the hazards, evaluate and assess the risks to which workers and contractors of Rectificadora de Motores Facatativa SAS are exposed, in order to establish controls that may allow the company to reduce or eliminate these safety risks and thus prevent possible accidents. For this purpose, a mixed approach and a descriptive and correlational method were used to identify and analyze the most representative risks in order to establish the appropriate prioritization of these risks. In the development of the work, a field format was used to collect information by direct observation, the application of perception surveys and check questionnaires built from the company's own knowledge and a bibliographic search, as well as the guidelines described by the NTP 330 methodology.
