Abstract

The image contains news about a communication addressed to the political head of the canton of Bogotá informing about the proposed separation of the normal school of the province of Bogotá from the parochial school. This measure arises due to the need to improve the situation of primary education in the province. The insufficiency of the majority of existing preceptors has led the Executive Branch to take measures to improve primary education. It is determined that separating the normal school from the parochial school will allow a director to dedicate himself exclusively to the training of preceptors. The objective is to guarantee that these preceptors spread primary education throughout the province of Bogotá. In addition, the Governor of Bogotá is authorized to allocate one fifth of the liquor income to cover the necessary expenses for this separation and the regularity of both schools.
