Resumen
This Creation Research project had the purpose of reflecting on the categories of avatar, image, reality, fiction and simulacrum and starting a narrative process through the writing of a literary script for animation. This work began its journey in thesis, articles, and publications of an academic character, which constituted its "State of the Art". This section gathers the trends of: Videogames, Virtual Environments, Image and reality and The script. The previous concepts were developed in the "Theoretical Framework" section in the following chapters: "I am Mario, I am an avatar!", a title that focuses on video games, "The corporate avatar or the story of a character", which transcends our notion of the avatar as an image, "The image according to Belting", a chapter that develops the problem of the idea and the image, "On the medium and the body of the image", a part that deals with the relationship between body, image and medium, "Mickey and Waldo in the narrative forest", exposes fiction as a constitution of reality, "On the invisibility of the body and the image", picks up the idea of the avatar as an invisible entity, but as an Artificial Intelligence and "A story about creation research”, which exposes some considerations about these concepts. In a third section of this project, we find "The methodological design: a narrative exploration", "The Product Design" which contains, "The technical sheet, The plot, The structure of the script, The rundown, The characterization and design of characters” and the “Creation process: the script, a gadget to tell stories”. To conclude the content of this document, we find a fourth section made up of "The impact of the product" and the "Final considerations".
