El teatro y la identidad sexual.

Abstract

This written work addresses the relationship between the performing arts and the discovery of sexual identity. That similarity that exists between facing an academic theater public willing to bombard absolutely everything with criticism, filling artistic products or creative excuses to act with qualifications and approval; and on the other hand the come out, that discovery of sexual inclinations: coming out of the closet, the first intimate experiences, assuming an identity and building it within such a varied group, that confrontation with society for being different and being accepted by what one is as a person and not for a different taste that breaks the pre-established canons. All this revelation of sexual identity, in some way, would not be possible if a path as sensitive and apparently protected as the art developed in an educational institution such as the ASAB Faculty of Arts is not chosen, a place that allows one to open up to the possibilities , express yourself with your body, with music, etc.
