Resumen
The image contains news about the Circular issued on July 20, 1842. This document addresses the frequent doubts about the remuneration of political leaders and mayors when they temporarily assume the functions of governors. The circular establishes clear guidelines for these situations: when a governor is absent from the capital for reasons of public service without leaving office, the political leader who replaces him in limited functions will not receive additional salary. In cases of absence, illness, suspension or death of the governor, if the replacement lasts up to fifteen days, the political leader will not receive extra salary either. However, if the replacement exceeds fifteen days, the political leader will receive two-thirds of the governor's salary and will not receive his usual salary as a political leader; In this case, the mayor who replaces him will obtain two-thirds of the salary of the political leader. These rules also apply when a mayor replaces a political boss with a salary allocated by the national treasury. News published in the Official Registry. July 2, 1842.
