Resumen
Thanks to the development of new technologies and the significant progress of software and hardware, computer-aided design programs have become a very important tool in both academic and professional fields, since they achieve the integration of analysis and design in an efficient way. It is extremely important to keep updated in the applications that this type of programs offer to engineers, and to have a support in a specialized software, such as AutoCAD® Civil 3D®. The purpose of this study is to relate the applications of the Traverse, Parcel, Grading and Feature Line tools of AutoCAD® Civil 3D® with engineering projects, and to identify their advantages and disadvantages. In this way, a methodological guide is also obtained. This document is structured as follows: in the first chapter, the conceptual theoretical framework is established, where previous elementary topics such as polygonal, contour lines, surfaces, software locations, and concepts of each of the tools that are the object of this study are addressed. Subsequently, the methodology with which each of the examples will be developed is framed, conclusions and recommendations are presented, and finally, the bibliography consulted is presented.
