Resumen
This paper shows the results obtained after applying a severe plastic forming (SPD) process by the constant angular channel pressure method (ECAP/ECAE) to SAE 12L14 steel. It describes the details and parameters of the test to be carried out and the main characteristics of the material. Initially, the presentation of the matrix is made, where the sizing data and the materials used for its design are shown. and the materials used for its construction are shown.
Considering that the matrix is to be anchored to the table of the SHIMADZU UH-50A universal testing machine, the step-by-step design and construction of the prepared clamping device is shown. When talking about the constant angular channel pressure (ECP) method constant angular channel pressure method (ECAP/ECAE), it must be taken into account that there must be a component that pushes the specimen through the channel, hence, the element used as a punch is shown.
In every experimental phase there is a documentary and a practical part, that is why the procedure carried out to pass the specimen through the matrix, the preparation of each of the specimens for the microstructure and microhardness studies according to NTC E3-95 and the way in which the chemical attack was carried out according to the ASM handbook volume 9 are briefly described.
The study of metallic materials involves taking into account issues related to microstructure and the study of their components. related to the microstructure and the study of their components, since, according to the these qualities, the material properties may vary. This paper seeks to show the characteristics of SAE 12L14 steel in the paper seeks to show the characteristics of SAE 12L14 steel in the delivered state and after being subjected to severe plastic deformation (SPD) and the methods used to carry out microstructure tests, microhardness and hardness tests, and the analysis of the data obtained.
