Abstract

This letter constitutes the contract by which I delegate to you the realization of the idea that for some time has found no other place than my obsessions. As an artist and art historian, I am a regular admirer of conceptual art and, above all, of the meaning conferred by the statements art as art and art as idea as idea, concepts that have caused me great problems living in a world as decadent as it is interesting, where two plus two is and always will be equal to four; a world upon which it would be healthy to throw, and that is what is expected from the social commitment of the artist, more than one criticism.You know my work and you know that thanks to it my career should have occupied a more prominent place in the artistic landscape, at least locally. However, I realize that the work has never reached the most heightened stage of its development, and I have reached a point where I have to acknowledge that what I have produced over the years is nothing more than garbage that I would like to stop seeing with just a snap of the fingers. But I think that doesn’t mean I should stop working. On the contrary, with a spark of hope, I throw myself back into the ocean of uncertainty, believing that I have something in my hands and it is with that same particularity that I dare to make contact with you.
