Resumen
The image contains news about a report from the Bogotá circuit court of letters from Judge Juan N. Ireguí to the Governor of the province. This report highlights the positive effects of the recent law that denies release from prison to those accused of theft or robbery. This improvement is attributed both to the law and to the constant vigilance of the police force. Several significant cases are mentioned in a state of evidence, including robberies at the convent of San Agustín, the house of Andrés Caicedo Bastida, and the murder and robbery committed by Raimundo Russi and associates. In addition, the process against those responsible for the theft of the Northern Mail and the case of the robbery in Juan Alcina's store is detailed, where the investigation exonerates Police Chief Camilo Rodríguez of the initial accusations. The judge also addresses the need for additional security measures to protect court documents, suggesting the allocation of funds to hire night custody staff. News published in El Constitucional de Cundinamarca. June 7, 1851.
