Resumen
The present study consisted of the design and evaluation of a sustainable guinea pig production system composed of a circular structure, built by means of the superadobe technique nd the design of a tubular biodigester for curinaza treatment for the generation of biogas and fertilizer. This system was evaluated through indicators of environmental sustainability, technical feasibility, financial viability and social acceptability. From the above, a circular structure was obtained that has an area of 96.07 m2, a height of 3.8 m and a capacity to house more than 250 guinea pigs, in 33 pools whose area is 1, 26 m2; with a male-female ratio of 1-7 respectively. In addition, a tubular polyethylene biodigester was designed with dimensions: 4 m long, a diameter of 1.4 m (maximum capacity). This has a daily load of 73.4 L / day, a retention time of 60 days, a bio-fertilizer production of 49.46 L / day and an average biogas production of 0.0424m3 / day. This biogas production has the capacity to cover 4 times the propane gas consumption for four person family, which corresponds to savings of $ 65,000 COP per month. Regarding the evaluation, a comparative analysis was carried out with a conventional production system, showing that the implementation of the sustainable system is more convenient, since it is less impactful on the environment, in addition to having facilities for its management and maintenance.
