Abstract

“Private sanctuaries” is an exploration about everyday objects that hold enormous meanings How? Why? And why do these elements exist? These questions seek to be addressed based on personal experiences and theoretical inquiries about the way in which human beings began to give meaning to what was in their environment, then to build their own spaces and meanings, to later find themselves immersed in a world mostly transformed by its own action, where the search for meaning continues, this time, through objects. There, the human being constantly encounters the nostalgia of what has led him to be who he is and the illusion that there is something that exceeds what he knows. As a result of this reflection, the installation “private sanctuaries” arises, a scenario where people can question themselves about what can come to mean what is in front of them.
