Abstract

A diagnosis was made of the current environmental conditions of the district educational institution Carlos Albán Holguín, site A, thus defining the environmental impacts generated by the institutional community. From the environmental diagnosis, impacts on water and energy consumption, solid waste management and environmental awareness were identified in the institutional community, which are the most significant impacts in the institution. Programs were designed to reduce, classify and use solid waste, as well as programs for saving and efficient use of energy and water; the three programs having a fundamental basis that includes education and environmental awareness as one of the pillars of great importance within the educational context of the Institution.
