In 1994 the company Sunshine Bouquet S.A.S. began its operation in Colombia, today it has 52 locations in the Bogotá savannah, in 2010 Sunshine received the Rainforest Alliance® certification, standing out for its good practices and implementation of rigorous standards, in relation to the forestry component some practices stand out, such as the planting of around 7,850 native trees on their farms and the intervention of 1.5 ha of the Gualí wetland restoration area with the planting of 500 trees as a contribution to the conservation of said ecosystem, the need to establish a forest nursery in order to provide plant material to the different company headquarters, in response to the high demand for trees necessary to carry out compensation for environmental permits, contribute to the conservation of water bodies and improve landscaping in the venues, also in response to the principles of the Rainforest Alliance® certification, mainly the technique and effective planning and management, the preservation of biodiversity and the conservation of natural resources. The main objective of the internship was to support the production process of native seedlings in the forest nursery of the company Sunshine Bouquet S.A.S. located in the municipality of Funza-Cundinamarca, on the Altamira farm, where the growth and Russification stage was carried out, the germination and initial growth stage was carried out on the Arenales farm located in the municipality of Madrid-Cundinamarca.
