Resumen
The image contains news about the note from the Director of the penitentiary in which he participates in having sent several works by the inmates to the General Administration of Finance. The document, dated August 1, 1871 in Bogotá, details that the Director of the Cundinamarca Penitentiary House, under number 149, communicated to the General Administrator of the Treasury the sending of eight hundred and ninety pairs of ordinary espadrilles for men, twenty-four fine pairs for women, one hundred and fifty cane braid hats, twenty-three braid hats and one hundred and eighteen jipijapa hats of common fabric, all made by the inmates of the establishment. The Director also reports that originally there were one thousand and fifty-six pairs of ordinary espadrilles, but twelve were sent to the Secretariat for the National Exhibition and one hundred and fifty-four were distributed to the convicts along with their new clothing on the 20th of the previous month. The note is transcribed to the Secretary General for the knowledge of the Governor, and it is indicated that the corresponding sales account must be published and sent to the Registry. News published in the State Registry. August 4, 1871.
