The picture contains a statement about: The Minister of Finance, in the exercise of his legal powers, has seen letters 68 and 70, addressed to this Office by the Administrative Board of the Teatro Colón, in which he requests that a decision be made as to whether or not the building in question is subject to the payment of municipal dues on account of the shows that take place there and of the establishment of the canteens that the Board has had the habit of leasing, following a tender, and which operate within the premises. La imagen contiene una noticia acerca del Ministro de Hacienda en uso de sus facultades legales vistos los oficios numeros 68 y 70, dirigidos á este Despacho por la Junta Administradora del Teatro Colón, en los cuales solicita se resuelva si el edificio de que se trata está ó nó sujeto al pago de los derechos municipales por razón de los espectáculos que en él se verifican y del establecimiento de las cantinas que la Junta ha tenido costumbre de dar en arrendamiento, previa licitación, y las cuales funcionan dentro del local.
