Abstract

The report addresses the LINDA indicator, designed to evaluate the possible presence of oligopoly and inequality among different companies in the telecommunications sector in Colombia. This indicator is mathematically defined and calculated for a set of companies. The report details the methodology employed, the data analysis performed, the procedure for calculating the LINDA index and the implementation of an automated program in MATLAB to carry out these calculations efficiently and reliably. In addition, a simple and easily accessible interface developed for the program in MATLAB is described, allowing users to calculate the LINDA indexes, generate graphs and export the data to Excel in a convenient and agile way. The report also mentions the process of eliminating data that are not representative for the analysis and the accurate validation of the calculations performed, ensuring the reliability of the results obtained
