Resumen
The program “Voces y Regiones”, broadcast by Laud Estéreo 90.4 FM, featured Isabel Dávila, a social leader in La Guajira. The interview addressed issues related to women's leadership, the impact of forced displacement, and the preservation of indigenous cultural traditions in this region.
Isabel, originally from Bogotá and a resident of La Guajira for more than 15 years, highlighted the challenges faced by the local population, from insecurity and displacement to difficulties in education and employment. She also emphasized her commitment to community development projects, such as the creation of marketing chains for indigenous handicrafts and support for women heads of household through welfare programs.
The dialogue also explored how Isabel and other leaders are working to preserve Wayúu traditions, promote the inclusion of women in public office and foster opportunities for Guajira's youth. Finally, Isabel expressed the importance of strengthening La Guajira's cultural identity and keeping its traditions alive.
