Resumen
The following work is the written support for the interpretation of three Colombian musical pieces in the rhythm of the pasillo, by the Antioquian composer Carlos Vieco Ortiz, which will be presented in the format of a trio with piano, tiple and double bass. Thus, this written document contains the composer's biography, mentioning important aspects of his compositional life, a list of his works along with his most representative compositions, his decorations, and tributes. There will also be a brief explanation of the musical characteristics of the pasillo, as a representative genre of Colombian Andean music, addressed in the selected pieces. In addition, the harmonic, melodic, rhythmic and formal analysis of each of the pasillos is presented, as well as other relevant aspects found in each of the works. Finally, I have elaborated an arrangement for the piano, tiple and double bass format with some armonizations, changes in the form, in the rhythm and in the melodic distribution. With this research, and the corresponding arrangements, I have managed to fill in part the void I had identified in my piano training. The arrangements have been especially formative, as I had to learn more about the possibilities of the double bass and tiple and find a good way to mix them with the piano.
