Resumen
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection confirmed the first case of coronavirus in Colombian territory on March 6, 2020, a little more than a year has passed in which different sectors of the economy have been affected by the multiple regulations that were imposed by the national and local government to curb the spread of the virus. Sectors such as manufacturing, began to suffer negative impacts resulting from the pandemic since its beginning until now, almost a year later; however, the outlook is not improving, as it is not certain when it will be possible to return to the old "normality". The problem has several starting points that become a cycle: the pandemic caused business closures, this generated unemployment and led to a decrease in purchasing capacity, affecting the supply and demand cycle. This is one of the sectors that generates more direct and indirect jobs, with an approximate total of 560,000, for this reason special measures were taken for its reopening since the beginning of the pandemic, in addition the national government granted economic relief to entrepreneurs to alleviate the economic burden and the difficulties they are experiencing due to the pandemic. Given the current situation, the manufacturing sector must prepare itself to face great challenges and ensure the safety of its workers by assuming changes in their work environment. Technology is a great ally to continue with the operation and management of business within the company, therefore, ERP tools are a successful solution for the reactivation of the company in the post-COVID era.
