Construcción de un dispositivo peatonal con audio, para la ubicación espacial de personas con discapacidad visual en una zona de Bogotá mediante GPS

Abstract

In this work we study in detail the problem of people with visual impairment to move from one place to another in open spaces, where it is intended to reflect a solution supported by several of the current technologies and the ingenuity and design in devices to solve this difficulty. The technology of global positioning system (GPS) is the main tool for the design of a portable device, which together with other modules will allow the possibility of an easy and efficient location; providing them with greater tranquility, autonomy and independence. The present document will show some concepts and theory on visual impairment, to understand more in depth the difficulties that the population in question has; in addition to the respective information of the state of the art, the reference and methodological framework on the elements and technologies used for the development of the device.
