Abstract

The National University in its different daily activities generates 22 tons of waste each week. Of that amount, 3518 kg are bio-degradable. These residues are treated in a composting plant with which the university counts, in which it generates 20 tons per month of mature Compost. However, this is not of quality because there is no control in the processes, the methodology does not is the best and the state of the greenhouse is not adequate. For these reasons, the present document brings together the activities carried out to diagnose the state of the plant, find the main problems and from this, propose and use pertinent actions to mitigate impacts and improve the quality of the process. Finally, recommendations were proposed for the year 2017 in order that the improvement of this process continue in execution and its traceability will take the shortest time possible.
